Marion Medical is made up of a team of professionals dedicated to providing the best quality healthcare in a responsive and caring environment. Our chiropractors are all Board certified with years of experience in the profession. They work in concert with nurses and office staff who try to understand your health issues quickly and apply the right treatment to get you back to your optimal health.

Michael Taylor, DC, DABCI, FICC, NMD
Dr. Michael Taylor is a Board Certified Chiropractic Internist and a Naturopathic Medical Doctor.  He attended his undergraduate at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.  He graduated chiropractic college from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri and John Thomas College of Naturopathic Medicine in St. Charles, Missouri.

Dr. Taylor has been in practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 33 years.  He has taught the chiropractic injection courses for 21 years to over 2000 doctors across the United States.  Dr. Taylor also teaches courses on integrative cancer care, infectious diseases, elective biomedical detoxification, advanced laboratory diagnosis from a nutritional medicine perspective and developed the lecture called the Oklahoma Wellness Campaign designed to educate Oklahomans in prevention and health promotion strategies.

Dr. Taylor is married to Joleen Taylor of 25 years and attends the New Haven United Methodist Church in Tulsa.  Dr. Taylor is the past president of the Chiropractic Association of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Association for Advanced Chiropractic Medicine, the ACA’s Council on Diagnosis and Internal Disorders, and the past Chairman of the Sertoma Handicapped Opportunity Program which is a sheltered workshop for special needs adults.

Dr. Taylor has certifications with the American Board of Chiropractic Internists, the American Board of Oxidative Medicine, Chiropractic Injectable Nutrients, Manipulation Under Anesthesia, International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture, Minor Surgery, and Clinical Pharmacology.

Dr. Taylor serves as the Clinic Director for Marion Medical, P.C.


John Mumey, M.D.
Dr. Mumey received has MD degree from the University of Arkansas in 1977.  He completed his internship at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Detroit General Hospital in 1980.  Dr. Mumey served as an emergency room physician at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa from 1980 to 1981 at which point he became the Director of Emergency Services at Okmulgee Memorial and then at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville.

Dr. Mumey has published in the Annals of Emergency Medicine and served as track physician at Michigan International Speedway.  Additionally, Dr. Mumey was selected to travel with the United States Secret Service and the Presidential Candidates during the 1979 – 1980 election cycle.  He attended the University of Tulsa School of Law from 1989 – 1993.  Dr. Mumey has one son whose name is Stefan.  He attends Victory Christian and has served as Medical Director of Marion Medical, P.C. since 2007.
