Prolozone Extremity Joint Injection Therapy To Possibly By-Pass Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery (abbreviated version)

If You Suffer With Significant Osteoarthritis Pain in Your Knee and/or Hip:

You May Possibly "By-pass Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery", Decrease Pain, and Improve Mobility With Prolozone Injection Therapy From Europe

What is Prolozone Injection Therapy?

Prolozone is derived from the Latin word "proli" which means to regenerate or rebuild, and the word ozone. Ozone is the most highly active form of oxygen.  Prolozone uses the power of several natural medicines plus activated oxygen to cause damaged tissues, joints, ligaments, and tendons to regenerate, thus significantly reducing, and in some cases eliminating pain.  In cases of significant degenerative osteoarthritis, prolozone injections can produce a large amount of pain relief and increased function.

How Does Prolozone Injection Therapy Work ?

The reason that some injuries significantly or completely heal and others don't has to do predominately with circulation. In order for a damaged area of the body to regenerate and heal, it must have the critical elements that only the blood can provide such as vitamins, minerals, and oxygen.

Of these, by far the most important is oxygen. Low levels of oxygen cause an accumulation of lactic acid, which is what causes pain. Prolozone works in three ways. First, homeopathic anti-inflammatory medications are injected into the injured area to reduce inflammation and swelling. This leads to increased circulation. Next, the area is treated with vitamins and minerals that are critical building blocks for healing.

And finally, the area is infiltrated with activated oxygen in the form of ozone that has been extensively researched and used in medical practices in Europe for decades . The result is that the tissues get what they need to heal. And as they heal, the circulation to the area is re-established, and the treatment is complete. The response to treatment varies from person to person, but most people only need from 3-5 treatments, but may take up to 8 treatments.  According to Dr. Frank Shallenberger, M.D., the physician responsible for bringing this German Prolozone Injection Therapy to the United States, roughly 75% of persistent joint pain sufferers who undergo this therapy become pain free or have their pain significantly improved.

As reported in CyberRounds by Neil Wagner online at www.cyberrounds.com discussing a Toronto team which examined the results of 12 previous studies involving over 8,000 patients of ozone treatment of herniated discs.  The studies showed ozone therapy to be just as effective as surgery but with a shorter recovery time and a much lower risk of complications.

More on Prolozone Injection Therapy:

Prolozone uses activated oxygen (O3) and nutrients/natural medicines (trace minerals, vitamins, botanical medicine, and European homeopathic medications) to create a healing effect. Patients receiving Prolozone usually feel improvement within a short period of time.  It is also common that the actual injections produce very little pain during the actual procedure.  Prolozone injection therapy generally requires 3 to 8 injections for "active" care.  The patient will know if the therapy is working, generally within the first or second injection.  Prolozone injection therapy possesses a high propensity for regenerating the cartilage in damaged knees and hips.

What are the Costs of Prolozone Injections?

Prolozone injection therapy is still generally considered to be "alternative medicine" in the United States even though they have been utilized in Europe for decades.  As such, the injections are not covered by insurance.  The injections run from $250 to $350 per injection.  For full disclosure, another type of effective alternative medicine joint injections would include PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections that utilizes the patients own blood platelets (which have stem cell properties) in a process whereby they are injected back into the patient's joint, ligament, or tendon.  This process is only 5 to 6 years old and is a very effective way to address joint osteoarthritis without artificial joint replacement surgery.  It's response is very similar to that from prolozone injections, however the cost can range around $1,500 per injection.  Again, this is not covered by insurance.  Standard medicine typically offers "steroid" injections which may create some temporary relief, but also carries with it, all the metabolic concerns that steroids cause on the human body, not to mention the fact that repeated injections actually de-mineralize bone, ligaments, and cartilage thereby increasing the mechanical instability of the joint long term.

Prolozone injection therapy is also effective in conditions such as:

1) Neck Pain / 2) Whiplash / 3) Degenerated or herniated discs (via deep paravertebral muscle injection) / 4) Lower back pain / 5) Plantar fasciitis / 6) Carpal tunnel syndrome / 7) Torn tendons / 8) TMJ / 9) Sciatica / 10) Heel spurs / 11) Neuromas / 12) Tennis elbow / 13) Rotator cuff tears / 14) Knee injuries / 15) and virtually any other sports-related injury.

Remember, because Prolozone injection therapy can result in cartilage regeneration, the technique has proven to be effective even for severe cases of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee whereby artificial joint replacement surgery is being considered as a treatment option.
